Angels proudly sponsors our athletes!
The Angels Project covers expenses for our athletes to attend Special Olympics including: registration, meals, team attire, and training materials. CWC provides coaching and transportation.
Since 2000, hundreds of CWC athletes have attended Special Olympics through the generosity of businesses and individuals.
“Back to School” Store: Helping children start off the school year
The Angels' School Store opens for a limited time each year for children to come in and shop for supplies. Originally intended to fill “back to school” needs of children served by the CWC, we have expanded to also assist children of CWC employees.
This program emphasizes life skills and personal responsibility. Children are given a “checkbook” in which they earn deposit slips by doing good deeds. When a child visits the school store, they trade the “checkbook deposits” for “CWC Bucks” to shop with. They can purchase most of their school supplies while practicing budgeting, money management, and interpersonal skills. Children are given the choice of bringing in a food donation to benefit a local food cupboard. This unique project has welcomed thousands of shoppers since it began in the summer of 2000.
“This helps me out quite a bit because I’ve got 3 boys to buy for.”
"Awesome every year.”
Adult Marketplace: Helping adults with special needs
Adults with special needs are not forgotten at our School Store. The Adult Marketplace area is designed especially for adults using a modified CWC “checkbook” recognizing community works, over 50 adults visit the store annually. A wide variety of art supplies, hats, jewelry, playing cards, or household items are available to choose from!
This cash free store is a wonderful shopping experience and an eagerly awaited event by both children and adults.
Holiday Giving Tree
This annual event is completely sponsored by donations and CWC staff. Any child that we serve and their siblings receive a gift(s) during the holiday season. Our generous sponsors help make the holidays brighter for some wonderful children!
The Needs Box is for anyone who is in need of items, such as: sheets, towels, pots, pans, clothes, etc.
